ANNOUNCEMENT #5 - More Features & a Website

Hey yo. Last official announcement this week... and it's a "2-in-1":)

It's always nice when another company, blog or publication appreciates your work. It's another when with just a few clicks, they become instant friends.

After our 2010 Fall Wedding with Ashley & Jeff, BLISS EVENT PLANNING contact us for some pictures for their own feature on them. I was more than glad to help. But, I was honored when they were thrilled with what they saw and asked for more from us. There were some images that I had used from Ryan & Julie's wedding in 2009, but their day was simply one of my favorites... simply because it was effortless and they were like pros in front of the camera... it was just easy:) It was worth a feature. Anyways, check out what BLISS EVENT PLANNING had to say about us, and about them & Ashley & Jeff. Thank you so much Marcie & Leah at BLISS!

And with the last few words I write... I'm so thrilled to announce all our 2010 images updated on our website in 14 days! Keep an eye on it. 14 days & done!

Thanks everyone for keeping up with our work and support and love!

ANNOUNCEMENT #3 - KWANTLEN UNIVERSITY SPEAKER

This is one of those out-of-the-blue things that you just can't plan on... And probably not something I would volunteer to do, but I did it... I was a Guest Speaker for Kwantlen Polytechnic University!

I've been asked in the past to do teaching sessions in the past for individuals; spend the day with a fellow photographer and just share what I know. What a great opportunity to change things up a bit and connect with other photographers... and although I've had a chance to do this, I'm NOT exactly a "Natural"! Thinking back to my public speaking days in highschool and how literally sick I would get just to be speaking in front of 30 students.... gag me! I was taken aside several times by teachers just to let me know how painful it was to watch... no joke:)

So, how did I get involved with Kwantlen University? They came to me... never thought that could happen!

It just so happened that a former client of mine, Amelia Kennedy of Crosspoint Communications , works in the Fashion Department and she needed a Fashion Photographer to come in and speak for an hour about the ins-and-outs of a Fashion Photoshoot. Since that is the direction we our headed it seemed to be just the right fit.

A little daunting, but I've realized that if there's something you're scared to do, the best thing to do... is do just THAT! Cross that off my life to-do list cause I've done it:)

What a fabulous group of University Fashion Students... I can't wait to see their ideas and designs come to life! Thanks for letting me be apart of your class... if only for a session:)
